Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English model, actress, and television personality who gained fame in the 1990s when she became Hugh Grant's girlfriend. The year 1994 was the year that Hugh Grant gained the world's media due to the global box office success of his movie Four Weddings and a Funeral Hurley was with him at the film's Los Angeles premiere in a stunning black Versace gown, which was pinned together by gold safety pins which gained the media's attention immediately. Her association with Estee Lauder has been the major highlight of her career. Hurley was first offered a modeling job with the company when she was just 29. The company has since utilized Hurley as a brand model specifically for perfumes including Sensuous Intuitions and Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best well-known role in the Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), both of which were huge hits. Hurley is now a model and the designer of the eponymous Beachwear Line. I Kissed a Girl, a confident ode to her sexual curiosity that is set to a gritty electronic-pop beat, made a bigger impact a few months later. I Kissed A Girl became an instant hit, but it quickly sparked controversies. Some critics claimed that the song was a promotion of sexual relations between men and women, however others believed that the scene that depicted in it attracted more male fantasies. I Kissed a Girl became a worldwide number-one hit because of its mix of sexual enticement and a refined tune. The song also assisted her to sell more albums, including the album One of the Boys. Hot N Cold, Perry's bouncy and sharply-tongued album with the second single that became a hit, also was a hit. The album which Perry created herself sold more than 3 million copies.
