Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor and supermodel. The elegant beauty of Rene Marie is evident throughout her career as an actress and performer. The career of her was launched as a fashion model in 1970, her rise quickly to prominence. In the early 1980s, she began taking acting classes, and was a theater student before appearing on stage in Los Angeles. Russo made her screen debut in ABCs drama series Sable in 1987, playing the character of Eden Kendell. In her first film Major League two years after, she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. The critics were initially skeptical about her talent as an actor, but her consistent performance enthused them. They particularly loved her performance in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak where she held her own in the face of Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. She has admitted that she's not passionate about acting. She took a self-imposed long vacation in 2005. For the film Thor the actress returned to acting. The film also featured her in the Oscar winner film Nightcrawler, produced by her husband. The Intern was her first light-hearted comedy. She went on to be a part of Just Getting Started and other comedies.

Rose Namajunas ranks among the best UFC female athletes. Her first fight was as an amateur, fighting in various regional events. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her up and she later joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. After joining in the UFC in 2011 she was known as a household name due to the success that she enjoyed both in and out of the octagon. Namajunas is a Lithuanian immigrant who was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose participated in basketball and kickboxing throughout her growing up. Invicta Fighting Championships took her on her when she was 18 years old and she was able to take home two fights by submission. It caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to join UFC s strawweight division on December 14, 2014, when she was just 22. Her career has had extremes, as well as lows, yet she is always able to come out of the fight with a win. Rose fought Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in April 2015. She was awarded the Women's Strawweight Title as well as the title of the title of Fighter of the Night. It was the very first time a woman was able to fight a big promotion for a championship. Namajunas then went on to win a few other fights. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning her Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
